Thanking You!

Today I have been designing some thank you postcards to send out to all the folk that attended the day and gave us such personal, wonderful and creative gifts.

Wedding of the Year, well for me anyhow!

On the 18th July the best thing ever happened. I got married.
This is pretty special in itself but what made it the best day of my life was everyone that was there.
I cannot put into words what an amazing experience it was and the most memorable and emotional day ever.
Meeting Ben and then having 9 wonderful years together has been brilliant (of course there's been up's and down's mainly due to me I might add). Without his love I wouldn't have been able to get through some tough times, so Ben I salute you, your the bestest!

Then there was the cutting of the cake. The cake was made of wood and produced by our talented friend Andrew Samuels.

This is he and his partner Rachel.

I got to see all my family, friends from afar, drink and eat! What more could I ask for.

Neil and Sarah (below) were Champion Bubbler and My Fair Lady, don't ask. They did us proud and I'd like to thank them for being truly superb friends.

Bunting from the Mother Theresa!

For our wedding we made our invites in the shape of bunting. We asked every guest to decorate theirs and bring it along on the day.

My mum came form Luton today, to help with preparations and to get some pampering treatments done with me at a Bath beauty salon. This is here lovely bunting effort.

Most of the people in this photo are sadly no longer with us, but my mum decided to decorate her's so all the absentees could be with us on the day. A nice and special thought, which I appreciate greatly, and the photo is from her big day.

From left to right in the photo:

Grandad Doug (my grandad on my dad's side, sadly to ill to attend)
Nanna Barbara (my Nan on my dad's side, will be attending)
Alan Chambers (my dad, sadly no longer with us)
Theresa Chambers (my mum, best friend and all round wonderful lady!)
Grandad Norman (my grandad on my mum's side, sadly no longer with us)
Nanna Alice ( my nan on my mum's side, sadly no longer with us)

Wedding bore!

I get married this weekend, to Ben. We have been together for 9 and a half years!

Today I made myself yet another bouquet and hair/hat piece! I think this is the one I will go for as it matches colours in Ben's outfit. Hmm, marriage, it's all a bit weird, but brilliant at the same time.

Today I drew a cake!

Today I have drawn a cake for my wedding! We will be a having a wedding cake of sorts (it promises to be good!) and there will be lots of cakes Mmmmmmm. This is what my ideal cake would look like, if I lived in a cartoon world.

And this is actually what my wedding bouquet looks like in real life, as if I was in a cartoon!!

It Felt Like A Kiss

This weekend me and Ben headed to Manchester, the aim was to see the new Punchdrunk theatre company offering, documentary by Adam Curtis and music composed by Damon Albarn and performed by the Kronos Quartet.

This is also the home of my cousin so we got to see her too which was a bonus. Not only did we have these 2 things to look forward to but also that 6 other Luton buddies as well as 3 of the bath crew would also be in the city. Luton gang to see "It Felt Like a Kiss", Bath lot to see Anthony and the Johnsons.

After having a lovely glass of Rose and some grub we all headed off to see the production. Not really knowing what to expect I felt a little nervous as I had read a few things about it being a little unnerving. This was very true. An utterly brilliant experience improved by being there with some wonderful people.

If your idea of a good time is being creeped out, depressed by images and text, not having a clue what's going on and then getting scared sh**less, then this is something for you.

If you would like to read some stuff that Charlie Brooker said about it have a look here.
