Monday Morning/afternoon Sketch

I've had a lovely relaxing weekend.
Much needed, but now on to lots of commissions.

To get me in the swing for the week a sketch is required.
Kitsch ornaments are always a favourite.
I have plenty! So these shelf friends are here to wish you a fabulous week.

Watched Grayson Perry's 'In The Best Possible Taste' again at the weekend.
So inspiring.
As well as that I had the joy of seeing Jenny Saville's exhibition at Modern Art Oxford.
Was so impressed by the size of the brushmarks and scale.
Go see if you can.

Daytrippers

These guys are having a great time day tripping in New York.
Sadly I am off to get my car mot-ed in Luton!
On the plus side though I am off to my home town, so will see friends and family : )

Miniture Portraits For The Mantelpiece

Hopefully some of you will have seen my Supermarket Sarah Wall.
On it I featured a small cut out dog for the mantelpiece!
Well that lucky pooch has gone to a new home now but...
there's more : )

Today my Supermarket Sarah wall goes live.
You will find prints, brooches, embroidery, and ornaments, all made by my fair hands ; )

If you're a fan of pugs, chihuahuas, dachshunds in Pucci head scarves, cats and florals, colour and pattern then you might just like what I do!

So pass it on,  have a browse and maybe think of doing one yourself!

Robyn Arouty Photography - Commision Of Maya

If you don't know her work, go take a look.
Robyn Arouty is a photographer based in Houston, Texas, but originally from Queens.

A former psychotherapist, that then went on to opening an e-bay store selling vintage & mid-century modern furnishings, she then taught herself photography & graphic design.
Which then transformed into Robyn Arouty Photography.
A lady, obviously full of creativity, passion and a love for getting things moving.
What's not to love about that?

You can imagine my delight when I had a random e-mail from her wanting to commission me.
Not only was I a fan before that, I was honoured to be asked to take on her request.
Maya was her 'soulmate'. A chinese rested/jack russell terrier mix of stunning beauty!

I've just had a testimonial from Robyn, and I can report back that she was more then pleased.
This is why I love what I do.
I get to be creative, earn money, but more than anything, I meet people from different countries, walks of life and the range of personalities I encounter is an utter joy!

(oh and by the way, Robyn doesn't just photograph, dogs and cats, she does humans in a fabulous fashion too!)

Thanks to Her Royal Highness for giving everyone a few days off work! Nice.
What ever you are up to, I hope it's filled with fun, festivities and time with friends and family.

It's been a long week of working hard and now I'm ready for a bit of relaxing.
On the 11th June my Supermarket Sarah Wall goes live.
As well as prints there will be some of my brooches for sale, embroideries and other goodies : )
