Just to let you know.....

that I'm away on holiday from early next week, so I will be away from internet connections for a week.
Well I think that where I am heading doesn't have such facilities, so it might take me a few days to respond if you wanted to get in touch : ) Bare with me. x

So I've shut down the Etsy shop for a bit.
In the meantime have fun and I'll be back soon.

The small things!

Lots of work to be done before I head off to France for a lovely break.
I can't wait.
Although I have nothing to grumble about, it's always nice to take some time out.
Simple pleasures.

Birthday Bulldog

Hope you've had a great weekend.
It was the other half's birthday at the weekend, so we headed to Cardiff.
A fantastic 7 course tasting meal was indulged in. My first ever meal of such extravagance!
And very lovely it was too.
I think it will be a while before there's another one of those, I'll have to get saving my pennies ; )

Rather than a standard card, I decided to creat a 3d one.
Here's the grumpy bulldog that gave the birthday greeting.

A cat called Dice

Felines have been on the agenda the first half of the week.
This guy is called Dice, he belongs to a graphic designer from Los Angeles.
The other I cannot divulge just yet, but he's a good'en.

As well as this, my cards are now being stocked at The Old Fire Station shop in Oxford.
If you're near by pop in and take a look and say hi to the friendly staff that work there : )

Recent Commission - Lone Star Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso Rescue

I recently had the honour of a commission from Teresa of her canine friend Nena (sadly no longer with us).
I had the pleasure of meeting Teresa via the fabulous Robyn Arouty, whom I recently completed a portrait for of her canine friend Maya.

Teresa is Executive Director at Lone Star Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso Rescue, they do the most outstanding work in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of abused, abandoned and neglected Shih Tzus and Lhasa Apsos.
Go have a read, and follow, and if so inclined, help out in whatever way you can x

I get to meet some wonderful people from doing what I do, which makes it even more enjoyable and rewarding : )

You can't beat a good sausage, dog.

On the subject of food, the other half recently interviewed Raymond Blanc.
Visiting Le Manoir, and getting a tour around his garden, must have been something else.
The grounds and restaurant look fantastic. I'd better save some major pennies to go there.
But well worth a treat.

The video that was produced by my partner and his team really shows Raymond Blanc's passion and enthusiasm for his craft and teachinng others.
A real inspiration.

Monday Good Morning!

It's been a busy summer so far this way.
Lots of commissions, nice features and a few things I've gotta sit on for a while.
In the meantime though here's a few places that have thought it a good idea to show off some of my work : )
